It’s back to buger basics for Central Park. The venue is currently closed for a refurb but it’s promising a burger bonanza when it reopens.

The Lazaeus Walk venue closed its doors lasat week for a complete refit – its restaurant reopens this weekend, though it will be July before the, soon-to-be-seperate, bar area starts pulling pints again.

And the restaurant promises paradise for lovers of beef patties – chef Martin McCann says that it will be serving up potentially 2,000 different burgers to Donny diners.

“It’s a case of going back to our roots really – going back to how the venue was 20 years ago,” he said.

“we’re going to be selling bespoke burgers and you can build-your-own burgers from our list of ingredients – when I worked it out itt turned out there are over 2,000 different combinations in total.”

In time, management plans to rename the premises the Yankee Burger Bar, but for the moment it will continue to trade as Central Park.
