Raise a glass to the Doncaster Brewery which celebrates its first birthday during Leger week following its launch at last years’ event.

The Clay Lane West brewery will be open to the public next Friday from 3pm with a range of real ales, ciders and wines available and, on Saturday, the brewery throws its birthday bash from noon, featuring a set from blues singer Frank Carline. The birthday do is open to the public.

The brewery will be serving its Gold Cup Bitter which is a seasonal beer brewed especially for the Leger Festival and named after the race which takes place on the Friday of the meeting.

Head Brewer Ian Blaylock said: “It has been a terrific year for us and it is a privilege for us to be able to be involved in the St Leger Festival this year.

“The festival gets bigger and better each year and the week is a celebration of all that is good about Doncaster.”
