Rock ‘n’ Roll Paradise, Rotherham Civic Theatre
This show promises to audiences on a rock and roll ride through those great days of the 50s and 60s on Friday night.
The cast play favourites like Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly. The host is John-Simon Rawlings in the role of JP Richardson, The Big Bopper.
They perform a host of classic songs.
In the second half, the scene moves to Elvis’s later tours, complete with Vegas jumpsuits, belts and rings. The King is played by Richard Atkins.
To finish the show, it’s back to Buddy, Eddie and The Big O once again with the Big Bopper, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis.
The Paradise Band of backing musicians have worked with many household names through their careers including Helen Shapiro, Suzy Quatro, Bee Gees, The Sweet, Cockney Rebel, Wet Wet Wet, Marty Wilde and The Cavaliers.

And step back a little bit further in time this afternoon or tonight with a Rat Pack Spectacular at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield.
The show, which seeks to re-create the atmosphere of the Rat Pack’s famous days in Las Vegas, aims to bring back wonderful memories of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior.
The production continues to be successful all over the world.
Songs in the show include Come Fly With Me, Under My Skin, Mr Bojangles, Lady Is A Tramp, That’s Amore and Mack The Knife.
