U2 TRIBUTE band, Achtung Baby is to play Doncaster Racecourse live, following an afternoon of racing on Saturday, August 18.
Heralded as the definitive U2 tribute act by U2 themselves, the race day is expected to be a great addition to an entertaining summer of racing at Town Moor, which included a performance from music legends Madness in June.
Achtung Baby will play out the evening on the Capital FM Champagne Lawn, taking to the stage just after the last race of the day. All ticket holders for the flat race meeting on August 18 are invited to enjoy the off-the-track entertainment.
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said: “Adding Achtung Baby to our race day line up and summer calendar is fantastic for us.
“We’ve enjoyed a great line-up with summer, and August 18 looks set to be another great day for both racing and music fans looking for an entertaining way to enjoy a summer weekend. We look forward to inviting our guests to enjoy some great live music here at the Town Moor, and following the success of our Madness concert in June, we’re sure this will be a really popular fixture.”
Gates open at midday, with the first race starting at 2:10pm. Achtung Baby are expected to begin a live set just after 5.40pm.
