A fundraising coffee morning is being organised to help buy a special table for St Andrew’s Church in Epworth.
A spokesman said: “As part of the re-ordering of the church it is the intention for there to be a ‘Quiet Area’ in the south-east corner of the Nave.
“Four benches are already in place but a low table, measuring 30 inches by 18 inches, is required to complete the area.”
To help raise the cash needed a coffee morning has been organised, to be held in the church later this month.
The spokesman added: “The church’s Parochial Church Council have agreed that the manufacturers of the furniture already within the church, should be commissioned to produce the table, so that this is in keeping and of the same high quality and workmanship.
“This will be at an estimated cost of £580 plus VAT.”
The date for the event will be Saturday February 22 starting at 10am.
Church warden Linnie Burnham said: “All the proceeds from the coffee morning will be towards this purchase and any further monetary donations would be greatly appreciated.”
Donations can be given to Linnie or church wardens Penny Birks and Jim Oliver.
