Tat’s what you call a great day out!

More than 100 top tattoo artists from the UK and abroad came together for a two-day celebration of the best in body art at an event at Rotherham Magna Centre.

In the City of Steel Tattoo Convention experts showed off their skills in a live tattooing area, while others competed for prizes in a range of categories.

Among the winners were Sonny Mitchell for the best portrait, Simon Grayson for the best oriental design, Steve Wade for the best small colour design and Leos Rios for the best tattoo of the show.

And, of course, the event attracted body art afficianados, many of whom took the opportunity to acquire a new design from some of the top talent available.

Another attraction was a display of theatrical make-up skills, including an array of terrifying zombies inspired by cult TV hit The Walking Dead.

Also playing their part were graffiti artists and magicians.
