It’s official - Yorkshire women love handbags more than they love men, according to a recent survey.

The research, based on a study of more than 1,000 people across the country was conducted by handbag.com to discover the truth behind a woman’s relationship with her handbag.

In Yorkshire 53 per cent of women said they preferred handbags to men, closely followed by Londoners and women from the North East, both with 52 per cent.

The survey reveals how the whole the nation is split between 50 per cent preferring a date with their dream man and 50 per cent preferring to be given their dream handbag instead. Mulberry came out as the top dream bag.
