Wath kept up their promotion push with a 41-7 win at bottom club Acklam - and coach Carl Mortimer roared: “We can only get better.”
Wath climbed to second - a point behind leaders Doncaster Phoenix - after the comprehensive victory.
And, ahead of Saturday’s game against third-bottom Bridlington at Moor Road, forwards coach Carl Mortimer said: “We have started the season well so far, and are delighted to be in second place in the league.
“More pleasing is that fact that we know we can play better.
“We all realise that as a team, and are continually working on improving our performances week after week.
“Yorkshire One is an extremely close league, anyone can beat anyone on the day.
“Our aim is just to take each match as it comes and produce the best rugby we can on the day.”
