THE Knights have today completed deals for tight head prop Brian McGovern and lock Phil Hoy as Brett Davey’s squad rebuild continues.

The pair will join the seven other new faces to have arrived at Castle Park over the last week to replace the 19 players to have left the club.

Ex-Northampton Saints lock Hoy is a former England U20 international.

The 6’7’’ 24-year-old, who came through the Saints’ academy set-up, will return to action with Doncaster after taking a break from the game for the last few years to concentrate on his studies.

He has previous experience of second tier rugby following a loan spell with Bedford Blues.

Well travelled prop McGovern will make the switch from French Pro 2 side Narboone where he has spent the last two seasons.

The former Connacht player also had a year in Italy with Super 10 side Venezia where he is said to have impressed.

Davey will be hoping that at 26, the forward’s prime years are ahead of him.

The Knights completed a transfer coup earlier in the week to bring former fly half Jamie Lennard back to the club.
