Hungerhill touched down with an impressive double at last month’s Doncaster Schools Rugby Finals Day at Castle Park.

The Edenthorpe school tasted victory in both the Year 7 and 8 finals to cap a memorable day at the home of Doncaster Knights.

The Year 8 final was a highly competitive game in which Hungerhill ran out 15-0 winners against Armthorpe Academy.

Hungerhill’s try scores were Tom Pugh, Ryan O’Hara and Matty Parkin.

The Year 7 final saw Hungerhill defeat Hayfield.

The annual event was coordinated by Lisa Davis, Doncaster Knights’ schools and community coordinator.

Each team that reached finals day had finished in the top two positions in their respective leagues.

Trinity Academy, who won the Year 11 competition, McAuley, and Hall Cross were among the other schools to take part in the tournaments.
