Wath dreaming of Twickenham
WATH RUFC are just three wins away from stepping onto the hallowed turf of the home of English rugby union.
The Moor Road side have been invited to represent Yorkshire level eight clubs in the RFU Senior Vase, a competition which culminates in a final at Twickenham.
Wath were due to start out on the road to Twickenham last weekend but the weather put their scheduled clash with Blyth at Moor Road on ice.
The two sides were set to battle for a place in the quarter final on March 17.
The final is scheduled to take place at Twickenham on May 5.
Wath have been without a game since January 21 due to the weather, halting their charge for promotion to Yorkshire One.
Victory over fellow promotion contenders Leodiensian last time out boosted their position and Wath will be looking to cut the gap on second placed Bradford Salem over the next few games.
Wath are scheduled to visit West Leeds on Saturday in a 2.15pm kick off.
