Sheffield Eagles one game from final

SHEFFIELD Eagles are just 80 minutes away from a second successive Championship Grand Final after crushing Halifax 54-12.

Eagles cruised through the second play-off round scoring 10 tries to earn a trip to Leigh in the semi-final on Thursday where a win will set up a repeat of last year’s final when Eagles lost to Featherstone.

Coach Mark Aston said: “A few lads are battered and bruised but when it comes to play-offs we can’t wait.”
