DONS: Carbutt set to re-sign

BACK ON BOARD: Matt Carbutt is set to return to the Dons.

THE Dons are expected to announce the return of prop Matt Carbutt as preparations begin for the step up to the Championship, the Free Press understands.

Carbutt played two seasons at the Keepmoat in 2010 and 2011 before moving to Australia to play for Tweed Heads Seagulls in Queensland.

The 26-year-old became Dons captain following the controversial banning of Shaun Leaf.
