WATH could not handle the attack of Division One leaders Thorncliffe as they slipped to defeat.

Accurate bowling meant Wath could only manage 151-4 from their innings despite useful contributions of 66 from Mark Linn and 26 from Tom Desborough.

And Wath were undone further when opener Robert Wade blazed an unbeaten 107 to guide Thorncliffe to victory in quick time.

Kilnhurst romped to a emphatic victory at Monk Bretton to consolidate top spot in Division Two.

Irfan Khan, Joe Gibson and Gareth Hobson all starred with the ball, claiming three wickets apiece as Monk Bretton crashed to 115 all out.

Gibson then smashed an unbeaten half-century (51no) and Daniel Laister 46no as Kilnhurst wasted no time in knocking off the required runs.

Elsewhere second placed South Kirkby romped to a ten–wicket win over Higham.

John Ashton and Mark Wright both recorded tons as Upper Haugh demolished struggling Thurgoland by 289 in Division Three.

Ashton blazed 14 fours on his way to the magical three figures whilst Mark Wright hit 13 boundaries during his century innings.

Both retired after reaching three figures but A Clarke with 61 and Mark Traquair’s unbeaten 49 continued to put the bowling attack to the sword as Upper Haugh posted 389-4.

Alistair Fereday then ripped through the Thurgoland batting line up with figures of 5-9 as the visitors crashed to 100 all out.
