JOSH Wale has dedicated his fight at the Barnsley Metrodome next weekend to his older brother Gwyn who is recovering after being stabbed in the heart.
The elder Wale brother was himself due to headline the Metrodome show on September 23 until he was assaulted on August 25, leaving him in intensive care and requiring emergency heart surgery.
Instead he is now hoping to be fit enough to watch from ringside as bantamweight Josh takes his spot with a bout against Slovakian Elemir Rafael.
Josh told the Times: “Obviously with everything that has gone on over the last few weeks it’s been difficult but I’m determined to go out and put a performance in to make Gwyn proud.”
