FISHLAKE climbed to sixth place in Pontefract League Division One by beating former leaders Featherstone by four wickets.
Peter Roper bagged 4-20 and Matt Windass claimed 1-24 from 14 overs as Featherstone were dismissed for 111 last Saturday.
Peter Butterworth (27), Mark Davies (25no) and Tim Elliott (22no) led the way as Fishlake knocked off the runs to stretch their winning league run to five successive matches on their return to action after two blank weekends because of rain.
Sprotbrough missed a chance to close the gap on second-placed Hooton Pagnell in Division Two.
Hooton lost at leaders South Kirkby but third-placed Sprotbrough failed to capitalise in their home match against Hemsworth which was reduced to 34 overs a side. Callum Honeyman claimed 3-24 from seven overs and Mike Threapleton 3-55 from 12 to restrict Hemsworth to 138-7.
Sprotbrough’s reply fell narrowly short when they were bowled out for 124, despite 28 from Threapleton and 21 by Honeyman.
Division Three promotion contenders Thorne Colliery lost by five wickets at Streethouse A. Ian Lloyd (34) and Mark Walton (3-38) were Thorne’s best performers.
Thorne remain second, one point ahead of Sandal whose home match against Sykehouse was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
There was also no play in the first-team matches involving Barnby Dun, Askern, Hatfield, Thurnscoe, Brodsworth Main and Peglers.
In Division Four, Mark Gelder was Bullcroft Main’s match-winner in a two-wicket success against Newton Hill.
Gelder hit an unbeaten 44 as Bullcroft overhauled the Wakefield side’s 91. Dale Cox (14), Nicky Smith (12) and Darren Needham (10) were the only batsmen who reached double figures as Bentley Colliery were bowled out for 50 in an eight-wicket home defeat against promotion-chasers Hundhill Hall.
Barnby Dun A revived their Division Five promotion challenge by scraping a one-wicket victory at bottom team Darton A. Sprotbrough A suffered a 116-run defeat at Thorpe Audlin.
