A sumo wrestling duo from Doncaster have celebrated claiming two golds, a silver and bronze for Great Britain’s under-21s.
Wrestlers from Holland, Italy, Germany and France all travelled to take part in the Swiss Open in their respective weight categories.
Balby-based DN Sumo Club had eight members selected for international duty, with teenagers Dan Barwell and Brad Robinson lining up for the under-21s.
Both wrestled in the +100kg and the Open Weight classes.
Breezing through the +100kg stages, Barwell and Robinson faced each other in the final. Despite a tough challenge from Barwell, Robinson claimed gold with an underarm throw.
Barwell, 18, added to his silver with a bronze in the Open Weight after losing out to Holland’s unbeaten wrestler Enzo Gadd.
Robinson, 19, also faced German Tijark Markmann in the final and proved far too strong for his opponent.
