UNISON served up an 84-67 Doncaster Bowls Association Doubles League Division One home win over Denaby.
Norman Averill and Debbie Case (21-8) led the way in Hexthorpe’s 76-67 Division Two win over Askern.
Ken Newcombe and Kevin Richardson (21-9) and Dave Wootton and Pete Bilsland (21-8) won well for Pilkingtons Rec B in their 76-58 victory over visiting Westfield Park.
Irene and Bill Fletcher (21-9) were the only winners for Adwick B in their 72-61 Division Three defeat at home to Armthorpe B, for whom Shirley Keeton and Kenny Hodges both won 21-9.
Armthorpe B brushed Parklands B aside with big wins from Brian Barratt and Bernard Birchall (21-2), Richard Commons and Andrew Kershaw (21-1) and Brian Cooke and Dave Henson (21-4) securing them a 75-28 success.
Carcroft C’s only success in their 72-42 Division Four defeat at home to Rossington B, came from Brian Clark and Tyler Lysons (21-9). Ann O’Reilly and Gladys Fenney (21-4) and Bobby Porter and Malcolm Needham (21-6) both posted good wins for Rossington. Westfield Park C beat their B team 84-53.
Paul Rumney and Jade Davidson won 21-9 for Pilkingtons Rec D, but Unison B made it three wins out of three with a 67-51 victory, thanks to Diane and Dave Adams (21-3) and George Craven and Steve Shannon (21-6).
Westfield Park B’s four winning pairs in their 84-27 romp against Carcroft C, included Chris Anyon and Jack Shaw (21-4), Bob Shaw and Keith Wright (21-5) and Bob Sisman and Bob Knibbs (21-8).
Dave Thornton and Norman Clowes (21-4) gave Pilkingtons a good start in their 71-51 Over-60s Doubles League Division One win over Rossington, for Malcolm Needham and Ken Sanders (21-8) were their only winners.
Westfield Park boasted impressive wins from Sid Price and Eric Bubb (21-2) and Frank Potts and Brian Line (21-4) in their 73-48 victory at Askern.
Rossington B won 76-67 at Brodsworth in Division Two .
Derek and Irene Cartwright (21-6) were Parklands B’s best winners in their 77-46 victory over Carcroft.
Bob Crowe (21-5), Graham Garnett (21-8), Katie Morgan (21-9) and Matt Griffiths (21-5) all caught the eye in Westfield Park’s 137-111 win over Carcroft B in the Hospital Cup qualifying round.
