AN UNBEATEN 96–run haul from Aidan Morris helped Thurnscoe Institute to victory at Normanton St Johns and stay top of the table.

Inspired by Morris’ knock, Thurnscoe posted 195-2 from their time in the centre.

Craig Bryant hit 76 and Jim Loughlin added an unbeaten 47 to put the meat on Normanton’s response but they fell short at 184-7.

Frickley Colliery Seconds enjoyed a much needed six–wickets win over Thorne Colliery.

After not scoring a run off the first eight overs, Thorne recovered through Chris Broughton who batted through to an unbeaten 91.

Thorne set a target of 174-6 with two wickets falling to Adam Lowery for 24 runs.

Opener Jon Hood batted throughout for Frickley, posting an unbeaten 61 while George McIntyre added 37 with the runs well spread around the side as they reached the target with four wickets lost.
