PARKLANDS slumped to an eight-wicket Solly Sports South Yorkshire Alliance Premier Division defeat at home to Kilnhurst.
The Doncaster side were shot out for just 94 by Matthew Bacon (4-30) and Mark Traquair (3-12) before 47 by Jonathan Green saw Kilnhurst (96-2) home to victory.
Darfield put home advantage to good use against Handsworth. Replying to Darfield’s 289-6, Handsworth WMC were 156-6 at the close.
High Green bowled out Telecom Sports for 74 in Division One (Jack Myers 4-16, Richard Taylor 3-31, Aalistair MacDonald 3-6) before Richard Taylor (43) and Daniel Naylor (27) saw High Green home with seven wickets to spare.
Eden Grove, for whom Ray Dunning top-scored with 45, defied a 5-25 haul by Tim Whitehouse to make a match-winning 115 all out at home to Kilnhurst. The visitors were bundled out for 72, Keith Laler taking 6-26 in ten overs.
A maiden century by Tom Orr (112 not out) was the highlight of Wentworth’s 259-8 at home to Hampole & Skelbrooke. Peter Hobson chipped in with a supporting 47.
The Doncaster side had no answer to a 5-27 haul by Gareth Hobson and fell for 58.
Wath beat Division Two visitors Denaby & Cadeby by 24 runs. Wath made 108-7 (Gareth Roebuck 55, Robin Hyner 22). Denaby & Cadeby struggled against Sam Thomas (4-15), Ross Darrell (3-21) and Sam Whitlam (3-22), and were all out for 84.
Hatfield Main suffered a 48-run defeat at Brookhouse. Put into bat Brookhouse ( Phil Scorah 55, Scott Jones 21) made 133 with Andrew Moores (5-33) and Andrew Westacott (3-39) the pick of the Main bowlers.
Andrew Moores (42) and Peter McConachie (25) provided the bulk of the runs in Main’s reply of 85.
