Doncaster Danum Eagles were piped 86-82 by the Scottish Mens National Team in a thrilling friendly at the Danum Academy.

The lead changed hands 12 times with both teams doing all they could to win the game.

Eagles were led by their two former stars Mathew Martin and Robert Marsden - who was top scorer with 34 points.

Both players attended universities in the United States and received scholarships to play basketball.

Eagles head coach Bob Martin said: I really enjoyed having the chance to coach so many of my old players. Robert Hammill, our captain, led us all the way as he did in all the great years we have had as a team and him individually.”

Eagles welcome all ages to an open session on Saturdays at Danum Academy, Leger Way, at 10-11:30.
