DONCASTER BOWLS: Denaby and Armthorpe book places in final

DENABY (rec 31) will play Armthorpe (rec 16) in the final of Doncaster Bowls Association’s Brooke Farm Handicap.

Chris Jones (21-8) and Martin Scott and Joe Walton (both 21-9) helped Denaby into the final with a 188-144 semi-final win over Pilks Recreation (rec 18).

Lee Davies won 21-9 for holders Maltby (rec 3) but John Richardson won by the same score to win the game for Armthorpe 152-140.

Tony Barrass (21-8), Thomas Boyd (21-5) and Dave Patrickson junior (21-2) helped give Woodlands Park to an easy 160-103 win over Yorkshire Main in their 160-103 Hospital Cup semi-final.

Craig Rumney (21-6) was one of only two winners for Pilkingtons as Dean Myers (21-9) helped Maltby BC set up a repeat of last year’s final with Woodlands Park with a 152-123 victory.

Tom Boyd (21-7) inspired Woodlands Park’s150-134 Midweek Division One win at Carcroft.

Phil Stones (21-6), Jeff Bourke (21-7) and Ryan Lysons (21-9) all showed up well for Carcroft in their 158-104 win over Yorkshire Main.

Woodlands Park posted a 168-11 win over UNISON.

Hazel Cuthbert (21-1) was on top form for Bawtry in their 147-118 Division Two win over Askern.

Katie Morgan (21-9) shone for Westfield Park in their 148-125 win over Hexthorpe. Geoff Bratton (21-6), Brian Coates (21-5), Harry Oxberry (21-7) and Steve Crookes (21-6) all won well for Adwick in their 167-90 Division Three win over local rivals Carcroft B.

Michelle Bowley (21-8), Bob Jackson (21-4) and Martin Bowley (21-5) starred for Yorkshire Main B in their 159-112 victory over Armthorpe B. Alan Wilby (21-2) shone for Tickhill in their 151-107 victory over Pilks Rec C.
