DEARNE Seconds’ struggles rumble on after they suffered a hefty defeat to Sheffield Collegiate.

Oliver Hepplewhite claimed 5-11 to help skittle Dearne for just 94 with Jonathan Millward’s 25 the top score.

Collegiate struggled initially in their response, falling to 51-6 before skipper Andy Simpson took control and steered them to victory with an unbeaten 38.

Robert Hart claimed 3-43 for Dearne.

Houghton Main 2nd XI 103

TAN Pirabakaran claimed four wickets but failed to prevent Houghton Seconds slipping to defeat.

Pirabakaran finished with an analysis of 4-41 but Rossington closed with an imposing 218-6, largely down to an unbeaten 91 off 83 balls from 16-year-old Jack Eusman.

In response, Houghton were bowled all out for 103, short by 115 runs.

Luke Salsbury top scored with 31 while Michael Richardson took 5-34 for the hosts.

AN IMPRESSIVE 91 from Nathan Lovell helped Conisbrough Seconds seal a second win in three games.

Lovell’s haul plus 51 from number 10 batsman Craig Jackson helped Conisbrough post 259 before they fell.

Doing the damage in attack was Jon Cundy who claimed 7-85.

Oughtibridge chased hard with strong contributions from Denis Smith (44), David James (56) and Geoff Rodgers (40no) but they fell short at 212-7.

Craig Jackson claimed 3-35.
