Worsbrough 2nd XI 67-2

DEARNE Seconds’ hopes for a second win were done and dusted in less than 50 overs as they were demolished by Worsborough.

After losing two wickets with the score at six, Worsborough surged to the win with Lee Farmer batting throughout with 31no.

Warmsworth 2nd XI 139

Conisbrough 2nd XI 282-9

CONISBROUGH Seconds’ excellent start to South Yorkshire League life continued with a dominant win at Warmsworth.

Michael Blakemore opened with 66 before Callum Fuller added 50, Nathan Lovell 34 and Liam Stainthorpe 35.

Rajinder Kundra claimed 3-45 for Warmsworth before leading the resistance with 49.

But there was little else on offer and they succumbed to 139 all out with Mark Neale claiming 5-29.

Houghton Main 2nd XI 98

Collegiate 3rd XI 141

HOUGHTON Main Seconds’ struggles continued as they fell apart against league leaders Collegiate Thirds.

Matthew Moroney led the way as Collegiate posted 141 before being skittled.

Houghton’s attack performed well with Tan Pirabakaran taking 3-25 and Jitendra Surti 3-29.

But it was in vain as Houghton fell for 98 in response with Surti top scoring on 27 while Hepplewhite took 4-29 for Collegiate.
