JONATHAN Stanlake took the honours in Doncaster Wheelers’ Autumn Road Race.
Stanlake, of Stockport, hit the front with two laps of the Harworth circuit remaining and held off challengers Pete Fielding and Paul Hickman to win one of the last remaining Yorkshire road races of the season.
A total of 54 riders took part in the 14-lap event organised by Wheelers, all going in search of last minute points to gain their categories for next season.
Runner up Fielding and Jonathon Hall broke clear to claim a lead of 30 seconds at one point but Stanlake timed his charge to the front perfectly.

n Doncaster’s Graham Briggs enjoyed an impressive Tour of Britain as he rubbed shoulders with some of the world’s leading cyclists.
The Rossington rider was ranked 60th in the general classification for the final stage of the tour in Guildford on Sunday, while he also collected eight points in the sprint competition.
His Raleigh GAC team finished 12th overall in the Tour’s team rankings.
Jonathan Tiernan Locke became the first home winner of The Tour of Britain, since its revival in 2004.
