Barnby Dun cricketer William Baxter capped a memorable season by collecting the Young Disability Achiever of the Year award at Yorkshire Cricket Board’s annual OSCAs (Outstanding Services to Cricket Awards).
The 18-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, was a regular for Barnby Dun’s second XI and finished leading wicket taker for Yorkshire’s disabled squad.
He will attend North of England training this winter.
William, pictured receiving his award from YCB director Ian Cotterhill, has an ambition to work on the ground staff at Headingley.
