Rossington Main remain in second place in the race for promotion from Division Three after a six wicket win over Hensall.

Joel Evans stole the show as he cruised to 69 not out with the bat after Hensall had been dismissed for 105.

Thomas Green had taken four wickets for Rossington, as they put themselves in a strong position to win, before Evans steered his side to victory.

Rossington remain second in the table. Two teams will be promoted to the second tier.

Meanwhile in Division Four, Sykehouse continue to battle for survival as they sit second bottom following a five wicket defeat to Newton Hill.

Opener Phillip Townsend’s top score of 37 was not enough for Sykehouse as Newton Hill cruised to the win inside 25 overs.

In Division Five Hatfield Town lost to Frickley Colliery by eight wickets in a mid-table clash.

The run chase was relatively comfortable for Frickley, after Hatfield had been dismissed for 95, with Pete Holmes top scoring with 16.

In reply Colliery lost only two wickets and they secured the win inside 22 overs.

Barnby Dun B pulled clear of the relegation zone in Division Six after they comfortably defeated Darton B by seven wickets, knocking off the required runs in 13 overs.
