Conisbrough 170-3 Bradfield 167

CONISBROUGH earned a comfortable win to keep a decent cushion between themselves and second placed Doncaster Town Seconds ahead of the top of the table clash this weekend.

The seven wicket triumph over Bradfield ensured Conisbrough carry a six point margin into Saturday’s clash at Town Fields.

They know they are likely to face a stronger test at Doncaster than the one Bradfield put up at St Peter’s Drive.

Ian Marshall top scored with 44 and Ed Bowers added 26 as Bradfield posted 167 before falling.

Scott Lowe claimed 4-38 for Conisbrough who made a great start to the chase.

The opening pair reached 79 before stumper Jonathan Phillip left for 51.

Michael Blakemore scored 56 and Gary Strephan was still in at the close with 60no as Conisbrough reached the target inside 30 overs.
