CONISBROUGH slipped to a surprise first defeat of the season as their big scoring bug failed to bite at mid-table Warmsworth.
The hosts elected to bat first and made steady progress led by Andrew Haywood who was the first to depart with 31 to his name as Scott Lowe claimed the first of his four wickets for a rather expensive 76 runs.
The innings came to life when Andy Matthews came to the crease and smacked 77 off 74 balls to send the score surging before being run out by Joe Wilkinson.
Only Matthew Smethurst made a two figure contribution in the second half of the order with his 33 helping Warmsworth post 211-9 from their 46 overs.
Neil Wilkinson claimed 3-53 for Conisbrough who started their response in positive fashion.
Third man Matthew Barnes struck a useful 45 but that proved to be the top score as the last seven men failed to reach double figures.
Conisbrough fell from 140-6 to 154 all out.
Smethurst dispatched five of the first six batsmen with just 39 runs lost.
