THE two–pronged attack of Gary Strephan and Stuart Bellwood ripped through the Maltby order to ensure Conisbrough maintained their 100 per cent winning start to the campaign.

One side headed into the contest with four wins from four, the other with as many defeats in as many games so the result was somewhat expected.

Yet Conisbrough found themselves in a lot of trouble after electing to bat first.

Half the order had fallen with just 85 runs on the board but they came to life at this point.

Gary Strephan had the lion’s share of the runs from the early innings with 38 but then skipper Scott Lowe was joined by Paul Hemingway and the duo added 79.

Hemingway departed with 45 to his credit leaving Lowe to partner Lee Johnson in a 66–run spell before departing for 66 himself.

Conisbrough posted 268, four of the wickets falling to Gary Mills.

Maltby were also in trouble from the off but they never recovered as Strephan and Bellwood strengthened their grip.

Skipper Liam Woodward and Gary Porter hit 20 and 21 respectively to provide scant resistance but Maltby fell for 98.

Strephan finished with 6-35 and Bellwood 4-53 to skittle Maltby in less than 26 overs.
