Bodybuilding: Brit Rich Terminates opponents

Ripped Rich Dickinson outmuscled his competition to be crowned British champion - a title which could lead to him meeting Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It’s been a solid year for the burly Bentley bodybuilder who won the UKBFF North East Classic class British qualifier before the British Championship in October.

The Doncaster muscleman has now qualified for the last five successive finals in a five-year competitive career which also included winning the qualifier back in 2011.

However, Dickinson had not managed to place in the top six at the British finals - until earlier this month when he scooped the Classic Class under 175cm competition.

And handing him his trophy on the stage was seven-year-old daughter Tyla.

Having been on an 18-week diet of seven meals a day mainly consisting of fish and turkey, Mexborough’s Wilco Motosave manager Dickinson said he could not wait to tuck into an Indian takeaway to celebrate!

Dickinson, son to Bentley Village and Arksey vicar Father Stephen Dickinson, said: “I was so shocked to win it, after training for eight years I just tried my hardest so I’m over the moon.”

The title means Dickinson could be invited to Terminator star’s Schwarzenegger’s ‘Arnold Sports Festival’ Ohio competition in February.
