ADWICK-Le-Street romped to a stunning ten-wicket win at Handsworth in Solly Sports South Yorkshire Alliance League Premier Division.
The Doncaster side put the home side into bat - a tactic which paid dividends as Stuman (3-24), Chris Jeeves (3-29) and Jim Smylie (3-29) combined to bowl them out for 99 (Mark Devine 50). Luke Bishop (59 not out) and Colin Bishop (35 not out) steered Adwick to a winning 101-0.
Parklands suffered a heavy 202-run defeat at Darfield.
Gordon Laidlaw (93), Simon Spurr (29), Jonny Spurr (37), Tom Fearne (27) and Warren Bird (50 not out) all contributed to Darfield’s 299. Craig Taylor took 3-68.
Lee Cullingworth hit a top-score 24 in Parklands reply of 97 all out.
Eden Grove picked up a six-wicket Division One win at High Green. Ray Dunning hit a top-score 38 in Grove’s 78-4. Lee Chipp Smith (4-29,) and Keith Laler (3-17) had earlier helped Grove dismiss their rivals for 75.
Rob Lee (104 not out) and Ian Couldwell (61) put on 139 for the second wicket in Adwick-on-Dearne’s 212-4 at home to Forgemasters.
The Sheffield club were bundled out for 58 - Josh Dacre (4-26), Simon Askew (3-4) and Rob Lee (3-15).
The Harworth-Denaby & Cadeby Division One clash was abandoned with the visitors 16-1 in reply to Harworth’s 127-7 (Douglas Hinton 47). James Sherratt took 4-14.
