The latest round of the Daiwa Hallcroft Silverfish Teams of Four Winter League saw some good weights taken in the 32-peg match fished on Moat and Bridge island.

Dave Hiley (Peg One Angling) won from peg 13 on Bridge island where he fished long and short pole with caster, pellet and maggot for 29-6-0 of skimmers to 2lb.

Ben Holmes (Matrix Trentmen) was on Moat island peg 40 and fished pole and pellet for 22-12-0 of skimmers and second.

Third placed Nigel Wood (Hallcroft) 19-15-0 was followed by 4 Luke Sears (Daiwa/Marukyu) 19-0-0, 5 B Poole (Bag Em Baits) 18-10-0.

Saturday’s open match was fished on Moat pool by 24 and John Kelly (Doncaster) fished a small feeder with micros and groundbait with hair rigged corn for carp to 8lb in his 64-6-0 winning catch from peg 64 on the island.

Mal Edgecombe (Doncaster) was on peg 23 on the outer bank and fished pellet cone with pellet for 8 carp and a few skimmers for 55-6-0.

Third placed Daz Oldham (Maltby) 52-4-0 was followed by 4 Gordon Gibson (Max Tackle) 36-2-0, 5 Steve Robbins (MAP Leegem) 34-4-0.

Monday Veterans, Bridge, 15: 1st Chris Line (Retford Tackle) 27-12-0, silver fish and a bonus 18lb carp on pole and feeder. 2nd Terry Picksley (Lodge Farm) 25-12-0 3rd Roger Holmes (Notts AA) 23-12-0 4th Tony Brown (MAP Leegem) 21-14-0 5th Paul Schoof (Hallcroft) 16-8-0.

Thursday Veterans, Moat, 26: 1st Chris Line (Retford Tackle) 63-6-0, carp to 8lb on feeder and corn, peg 61 island. 2nd Nigel Wood (Hallcroft) 23-14-0 3rd Lee Hewison (MAP Leegem) 23-12-0 4th Pete Topham (MAP Leegem) 17-10-0 5th R Smith (Peg One Tackle) 14-8-0.

n A good turnout of 39 anglers fished the latest Sykehouse Fishery Sunday open and some good weights were taken.

Danny Evans (Silstar Stainforth Angling) won from peg 19 where he fished pole with meat and corn for 110-14-0 of carp.

Steve Jones (Silstar Stainforth Angling) lost an estimated 20lb carp which probably cost him the match with him taking second with 94-8-0 of carp from peg 24.

In third was Alan Thompson (Sykehouse) 84-4-0, followed by 4 Matt Holsten (Silstar Stainforth Angling) 62-7-0, 5 Paul Appleyard (Hull) 55-7-0.

The Wednesday match saw 22 anglers fishing and Paul Appleyard (Hull) won from peg 12 on the Stock pond with 54-7-0 of carp caught on pole and maggot.

Runner up Nathanial Yates (Hull) 44-1-0 was ahed of 3 Scott Rispin (Hull) 43-0-0.
