JOSH Wale's bout for the vacant English title has suffered a late change after opponent Matthew Marsh failed to make the weight.
Former undefeated British champion Marsh was over the super bantamweight limit by seven ounces at yesterday's weigh-in and failed to come into line during an hour's reprieve by the British Boxing Board of Control.
As Brampton boxer Wale made the weight, Board officials ruled that only he can win the vacant crown in tonight's bout. Should Marsh pick up the victory at York Hall, the title will remain vacant.
Wale's dad Mick said: "Josh looked brilliant at the weigh-in, he's in great condition. He looked like a middleweight next to Marsh. We're confident."
