WATH won by nine wickets at bottom club Tickhill to close the gap on third placed Wickersley.

Paul Wilkinson (5-35) was imperious with the ball as helped dismiss Tickhill for a below par 127.

The hosts took 28.3 overs to reach their target, with Rob Barlow (64no) and Archie Ogden (49no) carrying their bats.

Elsecar also enjoyed a comfortable five wicket win at home to Hallam.

Iftikhar Afzal (3-28) caused the most problems when Hallam batted first but could only muster 112 all out.

Ian Swallow (25) and Luke Townsend (24) top scored in Elsecar's successful run chase.

Barnsley aided their battle for survival with a 44-run win in a reduced overs game at Aston Hall.

Opener Stephen Walters made 78 when Barnsley posted 179-5.

Andy Ivill (3-58) and Jamie Green (4-25) then starred with the ball as Aston Hall could only muster135-9 in reply.
