DONCASTER Danum Eagles U18s produced their best performance of the season to beat North East Conference leaders Tees Valley Mohawks 94-84 on Saturday.
Liam Knapp topped the scoring charts with 33 points, the impressive Adam Wood notched 20 points and ten rebounds, while Sam Speight added 17 points.
Danum’s superb team performance reduced the gap between themselves, in second spot, and the Mohawks to just three points.
Tees Valley had boasted a one hundred per cent winning record prior to their trip to Danum School.
The high-flying U18s travel to Killamarsh Derbyshire Arrows on Sunday.
An excellent weekend for the Eagles was topped off by a big win for the U14s at Durham Wildcats.
The Eagles dominated the match from start to finish against a much bigger Durham side and came out with a 90-40 victory.
Owen Bell led the scoring with a career high 44pts, while Mathew Green added 11pts.
Eagles’ new women’s team, meanwhile, were beaten 61-33 at Division Two rivals Bury.
