FLYING Mexborough Main Street U16s maintained their promotion push with a hard fought 4-3 win over Bessacarr B.

The Doncaster Junior League Division One contenders netted through Teejay Brown, Jake Ford, Ben Roe and Matthew Rooney.

In the U16s Premier Division, Groves FC maintained pressure at the top with a 2-0 win over Sprotbrough and Cusworth Crusaders.

Kurtis Houghton found the net twice for the team in second spot.

South Kirkby Juniors B lost 4-0 at Rossington Juniors.

Mexborough Rovers U12 coasted to a 5-0 win over Carcroft Village Juniors in Division One.

Liam Cooke netted twice while Curtis Horbury, Brandon Harris and Leon Squires also scored.

Rhys Carter’s brace plus a Kieron Deakin strike helped Mexborough Rangers to a 3-3 draw with Dunscroft Welfare B.

Liam Middleton’s hat trick helped Barnburgh and Harlington U13s to a 6-1 win over Branton Juniors.

Alex MacFarlane, Ryan Percival and Alex Snaith rounded off a comfortable win for the hosts.

Michael Pearce’s hat trick proved in vain as Conyers U13s lost 4-3 at struggling Bessacarr.

Kornel Wojciechowski’s four goal salvo helped Mexborough Main Street U13 to a 6-0 mauling of Harworth Colliery in Division Two.

Connor Webb and Corey Law completed the rout.

Goals from Josh Stead and Rhys Smith were not enough as Mexborough Rovers lost 6-2 to Tickhill Juniors.

Barnburgh and Harlington U15s lost 6-0 to Doncaster Pumas in the Premier Division while Groves FC lost 3-1 at Harworth Colliery despite Ben Eastham’s goal.

Declan Holland and Liam Jackson both scored twice as Wath St James U14s won 7-2 at Barnby Dun Colts in Division One.

Daniel Prince, Joe Haywood and North Peters also scored for the Saints.

Bradley Phillips netted a brace but Mexborough Rovers U11s lost 4-2 to Balby Academy of Sport in the Premier Division.

Conyers U11s lost 4-2 to Adwick All Stars despite Curtis Allen’s brace.

* FOUR goals from the red hot Alex Rowe helped Wath St James U18s continued their strong march at the top of the Charles Rice Premier League with a 6-0 win over Worsbrough.

Difficult conditions made life hard but the Saints were always in charge.

Rowe beat his man for power and pace to open the scoring after 15 minutes before adding a second with a powerful effort from 10 yards following Joe Formby’s pass.

Chances went begging for Jack Hakin, Nial Cairns and Kieron Hirst but Hakin netted at the second attempt, latching onto a floated Cairns ball and rifling past the Worsbrough keeper.

Rowe sealed his hat trick shortly after the break when Liam Hadfield chased down the Worsbrough defenders, won the ball and found his partner in space for a finish with the outside of the boot.

The score could have been much wider with Sam Booker and Kyle Kitchen going close but Rowe rounded off a man of the match performance with a spectacular finish.

* PATRICK Boynes netted six goals in a brilliant man of the match performance for Wath Stars U8s against Dale Juniors.

Jori Ash hit a hat trick with George Scattergood also on target.

The Stars U9s won 2-1 against Brierley Cubs with Jack Birks and Ben Williams on target.

A Todd Rowley hat trick helped the Stars U12s win 8-3 at Rotherham Town
