Youth team strikers Liam Mandeville and Jack McKay have been added to Doncaster Rovers’ squad for tomorrow’s FA Cup first round tie at Weston-super-Mare.

The promising pair, who are both on scholarship terms, have been elevated to the senior squad as a reward for their eye-catching form at junior level.

Lincoln-born Mandeville continued his impressive goalscoring form with a stunning strike in Monday night’s 3-1 FA Youth Cup win over Morecambe.

While 6’3” McKay, son of agent Willie, has reportedly caught the eye of several Premier League and Championship scouts after continuing where he left off last season, when he was named Academy Player of the Year after scoring 26 goals.

At least one of the young forward duo could feature on the bench at the Woodspring Stadium.

Boss Paul Dickov has vowed to field as strong a side as possible against the Conference South strugglers.

Nathan Tyson (knee) is struggling to be fit after picking up a knock in the win at Bradford, with Theo Robinson likely to deputise.

Reece Wabara (ankle) missed training earlier this week but should be fit to retain his place.

New loan signing Enda Stevens will go straight into the squad. Fellow loan recruits Sam Johnstone and Andy Butler are also eligible to play.
