Doncaster Rovers’ promotion party is well and truly underway!

Jubilant players and staff partied with fans in town last night after Rovers’ incredible win at Brentford saw the club crowned League One champions for the first time in their history.

And the celebrations show no signs of slowing down.

The club holds its end-of-season dinner tonight at the Dome (7pm).

And Rovers have also announced plans for an open top bus parade through the town centre on Monday evening.

Rovers will receive the League One trophy at a presentation at the Keepmoat Stadium at 6.30pm on Monday - before the players then take to the bus.

The presentation is open to the public and admission is free. Doors will open at 5.30pm.

Chairman John Ryan said: “I stayed the night in London with family and we drank quite a few bottles of champagne!

“The players came straight back up and I’m told it was pandemonium on the bus.

“It’s been a long, hard season for us.

“We’ll celebrate tonight and on Monday - and then it’s back to business on Tuesday.”
