The wonder of Woodall as Welfare win away again

BRODSWORTH Welfare maintained their fine away form in the Doncaster Senior League Premier Division with a 2-0 victory at South Kirkby Colliery.

Jamie Woodhall grabbed both goals for Welfare, who have won three of their six matches on opponents’ grounds this season.

A hat-trick from Nathan Fraser helped leaders Rossington Main maintain a six-points advantage with a 8-2 win over Edlington Town,

Dean Griffiths and Shaun Nicholls hit braces with Tom Jepson rounding off their tally. Jason Blackburn and Sorik Malcolm reduced the arrears.

Ryan Doherty was twice on target as AFC Sportsman Rovers notched up a 3-0 win over Carcroft Village. Brett Oxer completed the scoring.

Sutton Rovers kept in the title race with a 3-0 success over Hatfield Main with goals by Leon Tarry, Ryan Taylor and Luke Chambers. Bramley Sunnyside showed improved form to win 2-1 at Swinton Station Athletic, Matthew Salt and Tom Brunyee shared out their goals with Daniel Lunn replying.

A hat-trick by Mark McDermott put South Elmsall United Services on the way to a 7-1 victory over Bawtry Town, Chad Gaskell and Ryan Till both added a brace.

A goal in each half enabled Hemsworth Town to win 2-0 at Kinsley Boys, Alan Billington and Michael Horbury shared out the goals. Denaby United regained top spot in Division One with a 6-3 success at Bawtry Town Reserves, Ryan Oakley grabbed a hat-trick with Daniel Noonan, Scott Aspinall and Jack Vickers also netting. Chris Allott, Dale Lattimorer and Robert Hollinger replied.

They leap-frogged Ackworth United who went down 2-0 at Hemsworth MW, for whom Paul Cooper and Lee Mulroe were both on target.

For the second consecutive match, Carl Grant found the net three times as Dunscroft United beat Highwayman 5-3, Richard Sands (2) completed the scoring. Hayden Tomlinson (2) and Curtis Cranfield were the Highway marksmen.

HMP Moorland took no prisoners as they romped to a 12-1 win over bottom club Askern Athletic.

Paul Benfield scored four of the goals with Isaiah Cardwell and Agnelli Fadiga both bagging hat-tricks, Alex Booth and Jermaine Richards completed the spree, Connor Evans claimed Askern’s consolation. A Mark Smith strike earned Scawthorpe and Bentley Rhinos a 1-0 win over ISG Doncaster.

A hat-trick by Steven Bennett was the highlight of Shafton Villa’s 5-0 win at Woodlands Rhinos, Adam Fretwell and Ryan Butcher also chipped in with goals.

Three goals in the first nine minutes by Shaun Hobson put South Kirkby Town on the way to a 6-2 win at Sun FC, Tom Mason, Ricky Gaskell and Kyle Simmonds also hit the target with Brad Atherton and Shane Carver replying.
