Marc McNulty believes joining forces with Michael Higdon can revolutionize his game, writes James Shield.

McNulty claimed his first Sheffield United goal since arriving from Livingston earlier this summer during Wednesday’s Capital One Cup success over Mansfield Town.

And with Higdon, previously of Motherwell and NEC Nijmegen, on target against Bristol City last weekend, McNulty told The Star: “Big Higgy used to score for fun up in Scotland and I think he’ll do that here too. He’s a great guy and he always talks to you one on one and gives tips on what you should be doing which is brilliant because he’s been there and done it whereas I’m still learning.

“There are lads here who, with the type of crosses they put in, you just know if you’re alert that you’re going to get a chance.”

McNulty, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Coventry City, added: “I was a Celtic fan growing-up so Henrik Larsson was my hero. He was a top, top player so I used to enjoy watching him and trying to pick-up little pointers.”
