Scott looks for players to leave

ROTHERHAM United will let some of their fringe players go and get matches after today’s clash at Torquay United, manager Andy Scott has confirmed.

The Star understands Scott could farm out midfield duo Ben Pringle and Ollie Banks on loan to other clubs to keep their fitness levels up.

Mexborough-born defender Luke Foster, who arrived on a free transfer from Stevenage in the summer, may be another player to depart during the emergency loan window.

“We have got a reserve game on Monday and we will make decisions after that whether we want people to go and get games or not,” he said. “We have got a good strong squad and we can’t afford people to be sitting around doing nothing.”

He says he has circulated the names of some members of his squad and made them available for a loan switch.

Scott added: “We haven’t got a great deal of reserve games so it is important people are staying match fit.”
