Rovers ready for freebie Friday

DONCASTER Rovers chairman John Ryan has come up with a novel way of packing out the Keepmoat Stadium for his side’s most important game of the season – giving all the home allocation away for free!

Rovers host fellow strugglers Crystal Palace tomorrow (3pm) knowing victory will take them a massive step closer to Championship safety.

And Ryan’s eyebrow-raising promotion – estimated to number around 7500 tickets – has sent supporters flocking down to the Keepmoat ticket office, with large queues there all week.

Rovers currently sit five points clear of the relegation zone with Palace a place below, two points behind.

Should either side lose tomorrow’s clash, it is expected they will battle for survival against resurgent Scunthorpe who have two from the last three games.

Rovers travel to Barnsley on Monday afternoon.
