AFC SPORTSMAN Rovers kept alive their hopes of a hat trick of honours after a 2-0 victory over Hemsworth Town in the Sheffield Trophy Centre Challenge Cup.

Paul Hemmingway scored in each half to put the Mexborough side in the second round.

Rovers will now travel to Adwick Park Rangers in the second round with Swinton Station Athletic meeting the winner of the clash between Rossington Main and Travellers FC.

A Dave Davies double helped South Elmsall United Services to a 5-1 win over Doncaster Deaf.

Mark McDermott, Steve Nutter and Lance Walsh rounded off the rout.

David Sharpe got a hat-trick as Division One Travellers FC triumphed 7-2 at FC Tavern with Craig Hobson and Ricky Gaskell both scoring twice.

There was no joy for Hemsworth MW, who went down 4-2 at home to Carcroft Village.
