Valley Parade, March 8, 7.45pm
MANY will have expected this clash to be one between two promotion chasing sides but it has not worked out like that for Bradford.
Peter Taylor’s presence at Valley Parade was tipped to be the driving force behind a long awaited promotion. Instead, the former England U21s boss found he could not change the pattern of underachievement and resigned last week.
The Bantams currently have a seven point cushion between themselves and the danger zone, widened after victory over Stockport last weekend. But that win was only their second in 10 matches while a dreadful away record suggests the threat is unlikely to die any time soon.
PETER Jackson has a chance to show the Bradford board made the wrong decision in snubbing him for Peter Taylor a year ago.
The 49-year-old returned to management after 18 months out, taking a week to week contract with his home town club who he made almost 300 appearances for as a defender.
He will now be looking to land the role permanently and replicating previous success at Huddersfield and Lincoln.
