Rotherham United: Player ratings from the Fulham clash

ROTHERHAM (4-4-2)

LEWIS PRICE 5

One or two moments of dodgy decision-making from the goalkeeper.

WILL VAULKS 6

Another solid display in the midfielder’s new position of right-back.

SEMI AJAYI 7

First game since his loan deal was made permanent. No-nonsense defending, decent on the ball and pace to burn.

AIMEN BELAID 5

Never truly convincing. The centre-half can play but could impose himself more physically.

DARNELL FISHER 6

An infuriating mix of good and bad. Does something really well and then something really poorly. Has it in him to be a real player with the right attitude.

JON TAYLOR 5

Worked as hard as anyone on the pitch, but little came off for him in an attacking sense.

RICHIE SMALLWOOD 6

Happy to be reunited with old midfield partner Lee Frecklington and did a sound defensive job.

LEE FRECKLINGTON 6

The liveliest the captain has looked since returning from ankle surgery until he departed late on with a calf issue.

JOE NEWELL 7

Behind most of Rotherham’s best attacking play. Set up great chances for Danny Ward and Jon Taylor.

DANNY WARD 5

Needed to score with that second-minute header. The striker is without a goal since January.

CARLTON MORRIS 7

Looked good for the 62 minutes he was on the pitch. Quick, powerful and a good first touch. Some classy, intelligent link-up play on his home debut.

On for Lee Frecklington when the skipper hurt himself after 79 minutes.
