Rotherham United’s trio of deadline-day arrivals have given Rotherham United a lift ahead of tomorrow’s Championship showdown at Charlton Athletic.

The Millers swooped in the final minutes of the September 1 transfer window to land goalkeeper Lee Camp on a permanent deal and Norwich City midfielders Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Tony Andreu on loan.

All three are in contention for debuts, with assistant manager Paul Raynor saying: “They are quality players. Their CVs speak for themselves.

“Whenever you integrate a new player into a squad, there’s a buzz, there’s an anticipation of what they can bring. We have been impressed by the guys.”

Millers supporters had a close-up of what the Canaries duo can do when both played in Norwich’s 2-1 Capital One Cup win at AESSEAL New York Stadium last month.

Raynor added: “The Rotherham fans saw what Vadis could do against us and there was a real buzz around the place when we got him. And the same with Tony. He did extremely well up at Hamilton and got himself a move to Norwich. We have seen his qualities. He retains the ball, he has got an eye for goal and he really links the midfield to the strikeforce. That is probably something we have missed.”

“The main objective has been to integrate the new boys,” Raynor said.

“They have been together a lot. We have done various training programmes over the last week. We have had a couple of in-house games as well to try out one or two little things out and it has blended very well

“We will see the rewards of that at the weekend hopefully.”
