Rotherham United boss Steve Evans named the same side for the third week in succession for the Championship clash at home to high-flying Ipswich Town.

What a huge win this was for Rotherham United.

They saw off the challenge of high-flying and began a run of five tough fixtures in perfect fashion.

Matt Derbyshire’s diving header in the 38th minute set the Millers on their way and Conor Sammon rounded things off against his former club four minutes past the hour mark.

Don’t under-estimate how well Steve Evans’ side did against a side vying for promotion. They battled heroically when under pressure and carried their own attacking threat throughout the game.

Derbyshire, who went 16 Championship matches without a goal, has now scored twice in successive home matches and went off to a standing ovation after a man-of-the-match performance.

Ipswich could have scored twice in the first 10 minutes through Daryl Murphy, but the home side imposed themselves on the game and deserved a victory which sees them move away from the drop zone and extend their unbeaten run to three games.
