MEXBOROUGH and District Sunday League side Stonehouse welcomed a very special guest to their presentation night – Rotherham United’s Ryan Cresswell.
The Swinton-born Millers skipper popped into his local to hand out the prizes with young top scorer Kieran Clarke heavily rewarded.
The 18-year-old netted 35 goals last term to fire his side to a fourth placed finish in their first season in Division Two of the Mexborough League.
Cresswell said: “It’s a great achievement for Kieran, he’s obviously got a lot of talent.”
Stonehouse boss Steve Harris (pictured left along with Clarke and Cresswell) added: “Kieran’s been great this season, you can’t beat having a goal scorer like that.
“We’ve had a really good season to say it’s our first together.
“We missed out on promotion by a a single goal but we’re confident we’ll go one better next time around.”
Stonehouse finished level on points with next door neighbours Cafe Sport last season.
