BELLES’ final home game of the season against Birmingham City WILL take place at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday, the FA WSL has confirmed.

The game was switched to Birmingham’s DCS Stadium earlier this week because of a clash with the Dons’ play-off semi-final with Workington (3pm).

But the FA WSL has now reversed that decision, after Birmingham’s rivals are thought to have complained it would give the Blues an unfair advantage in the battle for Champions League places.

A statement from the FA WSL said: “Following discussions with all relevant parties and in line with requirements for all home and away fixtures to be completed as scheduled, The FA WSL can now confirm that Doncaster Rovers Belles FC v Birmingham City Ladies FC will be played on Sunday 23 September at the Keepmoat Stadium.

“Kick off for this fixture is 7.45pm.”

Belles boss John Buckley, who was critical of the original decision to switch the game, said: “From our point of view common sense has prevailed.

“It should not have been switched in the first place.”

Tickets for Sunday’s game are priced £6 for adults and £3 for concessions and are available from the Keepmoat Stadium.
